You've got a client who's asked you to quote. You want
to create a favourable impression on the client by showing how much you
understand the brief by attaching a drawing of the proposed event which reflects
all the factors involved. Or you might want to send him/her proof that
the numbers they want to get in a particular room/area just ain't going to fit.
Or that they will, but only if you use a particular table configuration.
YOU first send ME any
of the following:
 | A rough sketch with dimensions

 | by FAX
 |
|
 | or by POST
 | or by Email |
|
 | OR a blank copy of the venue plan with a separate note of
either what you/your client would like the drawing to show |
 | OR a verbal description only, with some measurements |
It helps enormously if you have a good clear copy of the
building plan or if there's one available on the Venue's site on the Internet.
But if that's not possible - and it often isn't - then one of the other options
above will do.
I'll then work on the drawing - I might need to ring you with
a couple

of questions - and then

I send YOU one (or all!) of the following
 | A Printed Drawing in A4 or A3, in colour (if relevant) |
 | and/or the Drawing by Email you can print out yourself, in
lots of different formats (see below)
 |
 | and/or the Drawing on a CD |
 | I'll also endeavour to be proactive in the sense that I'll
try to suggest helpful alternatives - if you want me to! |
Interested? - see here for
Prices
*Formats I can send you drawings in include:
 | A special
free 'viewer' that reads/prints Visio drawings. The format
the drawings are made in is .vsd. This free downloadable viewer
enables your PC to read and print (but not edit) the .vsd format.
If you click this >
Microsoft
Visio Viewer 2002 Release Notes.htm you can read the useful &
comprehensive Release Notes for it.
Click this link to download it >
http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2002/vviewer.aspx
yourself. (It's about 3.7 Mb and you'll need Internet Explorer 5.0 or later).
Read the Release Notes (click the link above) if you're not sure if you can
run it. If you have difficulties downloading it, I can send it you on a CD or
as an attachment.
